An heirloom gift for a newborn, this luxury hat has been lovingly knitted using a soft, warm alpaca wool blend by our artisan studio in Peru. Alpaca is a hollow, breathable fiber which is extremely insulating. The crochet tassels will keep baby entertained.Baby model pictured here was 11 weeks old. Hat should fit up to 6/9 months. Matching Mommy & Daddy hats available with or without pom pom.The pom poms are firmly stitched on and are ethically sourced from alpaca which have died of natural causes. No animal has been harmed or slaughtered. After washing, lay hat flat to dry to maintain shape / prevent stretching. The pom pom will look bedraggled, but when completely dry can be restored to former glory by brushing with a stiff wire brush. Alternatively, you can spray dry shampoo deep into the fur (or apply talcum powder) and brush out - works a treat!
